Before sunrise and through the early morning, our BetterPhoto.com instructors - Vik Orenstein and Ibarionex Perello took five of us on an exploration of tone and contrast. We got tips on selecting white balance and comparing the color of test shots to the actual color as well as leveraging the histogram to ensure highlights weren't blown out. Ibarionex also shared his technique for making expressive street portraits.
